The Bricktown Way

Fine... great... 32-thousand clubs, why could we possibly need one more? In 2001 long time Rotarian Chuck Musgrave saw that Rotary was missing the boat on a whole new wave of possible members and set out to form a club that was different, younger, more vibrant then he had ever seen before.

Why was Rotary losing a new generation of business people?

What changes could be made to pique the interest of those they were missing?

Bricktown Rotary would meet at the Bricktown Brewery, at night, after work, no one had ever done that before. Out went the singing and formal dress, and in came a more relaxed format and a few beers. The idea worked, and in less than 10 years Bricktown Rotary has become one of the leading Rotary clubs in the state. Our new format was also hailed as the new wave in Rotary by Rotarian magazine.

So while our meetings are light and informal, the service we do is serious. We are involved in at least one service project a month.

We have opportunities that range from reading to children in our schools to working on a surgery team in Mexico.

If you like serious fun and serious service, we hope that you will consider being a part of Bricktown Rotary.
